account

How to request deletion

1. 1 Email support@wordwards.app with the subject line "Delete my account".
2. 2 Include one of the following so we can verify the account is yours:
   • ▸The email address linked to your WordWards account (if you signed in with Google)
   • ▸Your in-game display name and the approximate date you started playing
   • ▸Your Firebase User ID (Profile → Account → tap the ID to copy)
3. 3 We will reply within 48 hours to confirm and, once verified, permanently delete your data within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• ▸Your profile — display name, avatar, selected cosmetics
• ▸Your progression — level, XP, unlocks
• ▸Your wallet — coin balance and transaction history
• ▸Your personal scores and match records linked to your account
• ▸Your push-notification token and account metadata

What is retained (anonymised)

To protect the experience of other players, a small amount of data is kept with your identifier replaced by [deleted player]:

• ▸Completed multiplayer match records — so your opponents keep their game history intact
• ▸Global leaderboard entries older than 90 days — so existing rankings remain accurate

Partial deletion

If you'd rather keep your account but remove specific data, email the same address describing what you'd like removed. Requests we can commonly fulfil:

• ▸Reset display name and return to an anonymous profile
• ▸Clear personal scores while keeping your progression
• ▸Unlink your Google account (return to anonymous-only)

Automatic deletion

We do not automatically delete data for inactive accounts. Your account remains in place until you request deletion.
